Bringing Esther’s Vision to Life
It was such a pleasure working with Esther, a bride who came in knowing exactly what she wanted with an incredible eye for detail. From the start, she knew she wanted a ballgown that had structure to it. Something dramatic and unmistakably hers. Something that would give her that full, princess moment, while still allowing her to move, celebrate, and truly enjoy her special day.
Her vision was simple but intentional: a ballgown that felt grand, voluminous, and sculpted to perfection, paired with a matching cathedral veil that would complete the look in the most timeless way.
Sculpting the Silhouette
Our in-house designer worked closely with Esther to refine the structure and proportions of her gown, carefully balancing volume and shape to achieve a sculpted, cohesive silhouette.
To create the structure and volume she envisioned, we incorporated a tulle petticoat at the waist which adds volume and enhances that cinched and sculpted effect through the bodice. We also added layers of crinoline beneath to provide structure and hold. The result was a silhouette that remained beautifully defined throughout the day; both voluminous and structured, exactly as she had intended.

1. Built-In Shorts for Comfort & Confidence
Every element of Esther’s gown was designed with intention and care. She requested a high slit to achieve the specific look she had envisioned for her photos, especially for the memorable dip with her husband. To support this, we incorporated built-in shorts seamlessly into the design; offering both comfort and confidence throughout the day so she could move and dance freely throughout the day.

The gown features meticulously hand-crafted 3D floral appliqués, layered over double glitter tulle to create a soft, luminous shimmer under the light. For embellishments, Esther wanted pearl beading throughout, so we complemented her vision by sewing delicate pearl buttons along the zipper line to add texture and dimension to the look without overwhelming the overall design.
3. MADE FOR MOVEMENT
Esther wanted a full 1.5 m train, but she also wanted the freedom to dance and move with ease.
To achieve this, we designed her gown with an adjustable train, allowing her to transition effortlessly from a formal, statement look to a more practical style for celebration. We also incorporated hidden hooks to convert the 1.5 m train into a floor-length sweep to ensure the best mobility for her. Every detail was carefully considered, not only for aesthetics but also to support her comfort and confidence throughout the day.
4. A Cathedral Veil to Match
Esther had envisioned a cathedral veil from the very beginning, one that would perfectly complement her gown and sweep gracefully through her wedding venue for a grand entrance. The veil was designed with full lace appliqué, extending 4 metres beyond the train of her gown.
The initial design featured embroidery along the hem, but Esther wanted the detailing to run along the entire border of the veil so we carefully hand-stitched each lace appliqué and embellishment. The result was a cathedral veil that not only matched the grandeur of her gown but also reflected the precision and care poured into its creation.
